Studio 01 — Mix Design
A mix that holds up, drafted in conversation.
Describe the element, the exposure and the target strength in plain language. Miksir walks the code tables — ACI 211, EN 206, TS 500, BS 8500 — resolves the exposure class, and returns proportions with a full compliance checklist you can defend.
How it works
A design conversation, not a form to fight.
Tell it what you're pouring
Type the element, environment and performance in your own words — "C30 for a coastal retaining wall, 28-day, pumpable." Miksir asks clarifying questions where they matter (cement type, aggregate size, admixtures) instead of making you fill twenty blank fields.
Exposure class, resolved
From the environment you describe, Miksir resolves the governing exposure classes — carbonation (XC), chlorides (XD/XS), freeze-thaw (XF), chemical attack (XA) — and pulls the deemed-to-satisfy limits: maximum w/c, minimum cement content, minimum strength class and cover.
Proportions from the code, not a guess
It walks the selected standard's method — ACI 211 absolute-volume, or EN 206 / BS 8500 / TS 500 tabulated limits — to a full mix: cementitious content, water demand, coarse and fine aggregate, and the resulting water/cement ratio, all in one batch table.
A compliance checklist you can sign under
Every design ships with a line-by-line checklist: each governing limit, the value achieved, and whether it passes. Where a target and an exposure limit disagree, Miksir flags the binding constraint rather than quietly picking one.
Batch it, export it, keep it
Scale from a lab trial batch to a full truck and export the proportions and checklist to PDF. Every design is saved to your history, so last month's coastal mix is one search away when the next job looks the same.
What's under the hood
Four codes, one conversation.
Specify to the standard your client audits against — Miksir keeps the tables straight.
The books it reads
Switch the governing code per project; the exposure tables, limits and strength-class notation follow.
Environment to limits
Each class carries its own deemed-to-satisfy ceiling on w/c and floor on binder content and cover.
What lands on your desk
A defensible one-page design: proportions, w/c, slump class, the checklist, and the assumptions made explicit.

Carbon before you pour
ISO 14040/14044 life-cycle assessment: GWP and embodied energy per mix, with an auditable report.
